Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The R.C.I.A. is for...

• Adults who have not yet been baptized.
• Baptized Catholics who have not yet received First Communion and Confirmation.
•  Adults who were baptized in another faith but are seeking a home in the Catholic Church.

St. Genevieve Church offers a program that provides an opportunity for those who seek a deeper relationship with God. In the R.C.I.A. program you will learn about:

• The Catholic faith
• Catholic traditions and liturgical rituals
• The sacraments of the church; why we do what we do.
• You will also come to discover how you can reach out to serve others in our community.
• You will learn various ways of prayer through which to experience God’s presence in your life.
• Catholic Social teaching about the Church in the Modern world

In this program you will have an opportunity to explore and find answers to many issues concerning faith, peace and justice in our world today, plus many other opportunities to experience the meaning of life.
